Welcome to Heaneys
Founded in 2018, Tommy Heaney along with his partner Nikki decided to launch their own bar & restaurant in the heart of Pontcanna. After many searches this side of the bridge and the other both Tommy & Nikki fell in love with the warming neighbourhood.

Food & Drink
Our food is very seasonal, fresh and simple. Working closely with our suppliers and getting our hands on the freshest of ingredients keeps us on our toes daily with regular menu changes weither it be which fish is coming off the boat or what beautiful herbs are ready to be hand picked in our chef’s garden on the day.
Continuing our love for flavours we created our drinks list, featuring our seasonal cocktails, wines from around the world, biodynamic, organic and our range of spirits.
Our offering of a tasting menu style allows you to have an experience of multiple unique dishes. Serving this style allows you to interact and enjoy a full experience together.
We do have very fish heavy menus which are subject to daily changes . All dietary requirements are welcomed with atleast 48hours notice, to allow us to prepare. This must be noted when making your reservation and we will do our very best to adapt and cater accordingly.
Please note we are not a Vegan restaurant, we will ofcourse do and try our absolute best to cater towards a vegan dietary as long as we are given plenty of notice.
Atmosphere
Designing our large two floored dining room around our bar was the aim to bring the room alive. Unique to our personalities expect dimmed lighting, audible music, guest dj’s, laughter & lots of interaction from the kitchen…..You won’t hear a pin drop in here!
We do love a good, vibey atmosphere with the volume UP….Our big open windows scream ‘let’s have a wiggle, have fun & enjoy ourselves every day of the week’.
No dresscode is required offering Heaney’s as that all round occassion venue. We also warmly welcome guests of all ages.
Heaney's Terrace
Our new addition located at the front of our restaurant just in time for those warmer days or even colder days, our beautiful terrace….somewhere you can relax and enjoy a drink and/or snack at anytime of the day or alternatively choose from one of our seasonal menus. Pet friendly also so plenty of room for your fur babies to join you outside, covered & heated.
